Ingredients of BBQ Tofu Sandwhiches

  1. It's 1 packages of 12oz extra firm tofu.
  2. Prepare 1 of onion thinly sliced.
  3. It's 1 1/2 cup of bbq sauce give or take to your preference.
  4. You need 3 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil or any oil of your choice.
  5. Prepare 1 of Bread or buns. Any toppings you want like cheese, pickles, etc..

BBQ Tofu Sandwhiches instructions

  1. Drain tofu between paper towels trying to get most of the water out..
  2. Cut tofu into 1/4 inch slices. I usually get 4 good slices and one slice that's a little thinner..
  3. In a large skillet heat some of the oil. Fry tofu until golden brown on both sides. (see pic).
  4. In a seperate small skillet add oil. Fry onions to desired consistency..
  5. When tofu is done drain extra fluid from skillet..
  6. Add onions and bbq sauce. Let it simmer on low to just above low heat for 10 minutes..
  7. Serve on bread or buns with any toppings you prefer..
